Information for Voters

Voter Eligibility

You are eligible to vote if you can provide authorized identification which shows that you are:

  • At least 18 years old
  • A Canadian citizen, and
  • A resident of Lethbridge

During the Election Period, it is anticipated there will be three polling stations in the city: one in the north, south and west. There will be voting stations set up in assisted living facilities, hospitals and senior residences. There is also an option to go to an elector's residence where the elector is physically unable to go to a voting station.

Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the Election Period, which will start October 8.

Register to Vote

All voters must be on the permanent Electors Registry. To register to vote or check to see if you are registered to vote, visit Voterlink.

Voting

Voting starts October 8 and will end October 20.  You may vote on voting days. Voting stations will be open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Detailed location information will be updated closer to the Election Period.

Please Donate to the Re-Elect Hyggen Campaign

To donate, you must be a resident of Alberta or have a corporation that is based in Alberta. Maximum $5,000 for all candidates in the election. Donations to municipal campaigns are not eligible for tax receipts.
